REGISTER FOR A TOURNAMENT
Head to rk9.gg and sign in with your email address. We use Google Accounts for authentication, so this email needs to be connected to a Google account if it is not already. We believe Google has best-in-class account security features, and so we rely on them to vouch for who you are (authentication), and then we allow you to access certain things (authorization).
If you need to connect your email, https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/27441 has instructions on how to use an existing email address. Once it has been connected to a Google Account, Google will be able to identify you for authentication purposes.
If you’ve never used rk9.gg before, you’ll need to start by completing your profile before you’re signing up for any tournaments. That way, you’ll set up your Pokémon TCG Online screen name, for example, and link your account to Discord. Details on this process can be found <<<here>>>.
Click on Tournaments in the top navigation bar to go to the Team Challenge tournaments page.
The Team Challenge tournaments page opens filtered by your country. Countries are shown in the left sidebar with the number of tournaments next to the country code. If you have not set up your profile yet, you’ll need to click on your country to display tournaments.
Click on the tournament status (shown above as Scheduled) to view the tournament details.
Read the tournament details carefully before registering, to ensure you are able to participate.
When registration opens,
appears underneath the tournament details. Click that to proceed with registration.
The top of the registration page displays your profile information that will be used to register you for the tournament. Review this information carefully to ensure it is correct. If any of the information is incorrect, correct it within your RK9 profile first before registering.
After you’ve reviewed your registration information, you’ll need to accept the four terms and conditions checkboxes. Read them carefully, and click through to read the linked documents.
Once you’ve done clicked all four acceptance checkboxes, click
to complete your registration.
Your confirmation will display below your registration information, and you will also be sent a confirmation email with the same information. Read this information carefully, and make note of when deck list submission will open and the deadline for submitting your deck list online.
You can revisit this page by clicking on the tournament name in My Registrations in your Player Dashboard.
The remaining qualifiers for your store are also shown in your Player Dashboard in Other Tournaments. Click on the tournament name to view that tournament’s details.
Don’t forget you can only sign up for events from a single store for the Pokémon Team Challenge. If you want to change to a different store, you’ll first need to unregister from any other store’s events you’ve signed up for. To do so, click the tournament name, then click on Your confirmation, which will take you to the page that will let you Unregister from this tournament.
It may take a while to get unregistered from an event. You can verify this in your Profile. If your Team Challenge League ID says “League ID” instead of a value, the system has cleared that you’re no longer in any events at all. At that point, you can sign up with another store.
It’s important to note that once you’ve been marked as having played in a tournament from a specific store, you will no longer be able to change to a different store. There will be no exceptions made to this. You will be marked as having played in an event if you sign up for it and are checked in. Checking in can happen either by you submitting a decklist or because the tournament organiser manually checks you in.
