Calling Antwerp Main Event Details

Day One: Saturday May 20th – Classic Constructed Swiss

Venue Open 8:00 am
Event start time 9:00 am

Day 1 will consist of 7-8 rounds of Swiss depending on the number of participants at the start of round 1.

At the conclusion of the final round of Swiss on Day 1, there will be a cut to the Top 64 or 72 players (depending on number of players) or to all players with X-2 or better records, whichever is greater. These players will progress to the Calling Day 2.


Day Two: Sunday May 21st – Classic Constructed Swiss & Top-8

Event start time 9:00 am

Day 2 will consist of 5 rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to Single Elimination Top-8

Single-Elimination playoff
Top-8 playoff matches will have no time limit.
Players are still expected to play at a normal pace and complete playoff matches in a reasonable amount of time.
The Top 8 bracket will be determined using the players ranking after the Swiss part of the event. In the playoffs, the player that finished higher in the Standings during the Swiss rounds chooses either to play first or second.

  • Rules Enforcement Level (REL):
    • Day 1: Competitive
    • Day 2: Professional
  • Decklists will be gathered during player-meeting and random deck checks will be performed during the entire event.​
  • Swiss rounds are 55 minutes (50+5) in duration. (Players must reveal their hero when the start of round is announced, and must present their deck and reveal their equipment and weapons within five minutes of the start of round).

DECKS

  • Decks must be Classic Constructed legal as defined by the Card Legality Policy.
  • Deck registration must be done PRIOR to the start of Day 1
    • The official Deck Registration Sheet is available here.
  • Players may not change their registered deck during the tournament.
  • Deck checks will be conducted by event staff throughout the tournament.
  • It is the responsibility of each player to ensure there are no distinguishing marks or patterns on their cards or card sleeves for the duration of the tournament. Vendors will be onsite to purchase sleeves if required.
